SUMMARY:Clash for the Cash 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Clash for the Cash Longsword tournament on March 14th\, 2026 in Pemberton\, NJ. This will be the only event of its kind in this part of the country with cash prizes and medals being awarded to the top 8 fighters. \n\n\n\nThe entry fee for the tournament is essentially a $55 buy-in\, with the proceeds being given to fighters instead of merchandise. The awards will break down as follows: \n\n\n\n$600 for 1ST place \n\n\n\n$300 for 2ND \n\n\n\n$150 for 3RD \n\n\n\n$100 for 4TH \n\n\n\n$50 for places 5-8. \n\n\n\nThese amounts will be contingent upon attendance\, of course\, and will be based upon a roster of 60 fighters. If the tournament doesn’t sell out\, the prize amounts may have to be adjusted. \n\n\n\nThere will be no sponsors\, no frills\, and no subdivisions….just a plump purse of prize money waiting to be claimed. It will be open to fighters of any gender or skill level. It is our intention to put together a relatively low-cost event which will be designed to give all fighters the best possible experience for the money they spend. \n\n\n\nThe event will be held at 50 Early St.\, Pemberton\, NJ.\, 08068. Or this year\, Lake E-Fecht Lite!While we are grateful to how many people signed up last year in spite of the horrible weather\, we have decided to downsize a little bit this year – lower participant caps on all events (20 per event)\, and no rapier (moving that to a separate one-handed-themed tournament rather than our winter KdF-themed tournament). Most notably\, nothing will be uploaded to HEMA ratings from this event. We’re a little short on experienced staff this year\, and we really want to focus on tightening up our judging\, event practices\, rule sets\, and having a fun event so we can scale up again next year. \n\n\n\nLike Last year\, events will include Messer\, ABCD Longsword\, Div. B Longsword\, Div. A Longsword\, and Dagger. Each event will have two rounds of pools – the first one with evenly distributed skill\, the second sorted by pool one rankings.
